What is a tuning file service?
A tuning file service delivers the processed ECU File your workshop flashes. How FILHEX works: upload, Solutions, Credits — not an editor seat.

Workshops often search for a tuning file service when they need a processed ECU File without owning a full map-editing desk. The phrase is informal — in FILHEX product language the unit you flash is still a File, and the work unit is a Solution Job.
The short definition
A tuning file service delivers the result File your technician writes back to the control unit. You keep:
- Read/write hardware and flash tools
- The vehicle and the decision to flash
- Mechanical judgement (hardware fitted or removed must match the File)
The service takes the original File (dump), applies the Solutions you selected, and returns the processed File.
FILHEX is that model in one Windows app: upload → free scan → select Solutions → process → download. Details on the tuning file service page.
What it is not
A tuning file service is not:
- An annual editor seat or remap software subscription you pay whether the bay is busy or quiet
- A second flash tool — you still need your own read/write equipment
- A CRM or workshop board (FILHEX does not replace garage operations software)
If you compare cost shapes, read Credits vs subscription.
How a FILHEX Solution Job works
- Upload the original File from the control unit.
- Scan (free) — Brand, ECU, and applicable Solutions appear.
- Select Solutions (for example Stage 1, DPF Removal, DTC clear).
- Process — 1 Credit when the job completes, one Credit per processed File.
- Download the result File; the job history keeps the original, the Solutions, and the result File, with a download integrity check.
New Workspace accounts start with 5 free Credits. Packs stack and do not expire — see pricing.
Who uses it
Independent tuners and professional workshops that read and flash ECUs themselves and want the File step in one place, without juggling multiple portals. Workshop positioning: FILHEX for workshops. Catalog and pricing detail: ECU tuning files.
