What one Credit buys

A Credit is spent exactly once: when a Solution Job completes and the result File is ready for download. Everything you select on that job rides on the same Credit — DPF Removal together with EGR Removal and a Stage 1 is still one Credit, because it is still one processed File. What a Credit does not pay for:

Scan. Upload a File and see Brand, ECU and applicable Solutions, as often as you need to check a File.
Failed jobs. If processing fails, the reserved Credit returns to the wallet automatically — you are never charged for a job without a result File.
DTC clear. Runs on the result File of a completed job, up to 3 times per File, without a Credit.
The Hex Editor. Compare original and result locally before you flash.
Catalog browsing. Checking Brand, ECU and Solution coverage in the app or on this site never spends anything.

Because packs stack, there is no penalty for starting small: use the 5 free Credits, buy a 10-pack when the first paying jobs arrive, and move to larger packs once you know your monthly volume. Unused Credits simply wait in the wallet through a quiet month.

How FILHEX pricing compares with other cost shapes

Workshops usually meet two other ways of paying for tuning files. A monthly or annual file-portal subscription bills the same whether the bay is busy or empty, and often adds per-file fees on top. Editor-seat licences for calibration software only make sense once you develop maps in-house, and still need the hardware, training and time to use them. FILHEX is a per-File service: the cost of a job is known before you start it, it scales to zero in a quiet month, and it never asks you to renew anything. Payment, invoices and the wallet

The Workspace Owner buys packs from the Credits screen in the app. Checkout opens in your browser on Stripe, so your card details never pass through FILHEX. Once the payment is confirmed the Credits appear in the Workspace wallet and the app shows the new balance; a checkout you close before paying simply does not charge you. The wallet belongs to the Workspace, so every job in that Workspace draws from the same balance. Pack purchases are non-refundable once the Credits are in the wallet, except where mandatory law says otherwise — scanning before you buy and the automatic Credit return on failed jobs exist so that you never have to pay for a File you cannot use.

FAQ

How much does one ECU File cost on FILHEX?

Between €2 and €5 per processed File depending on the pack. Every Solution on that File is included, so DPF Removal with EGR Removal and Stage 1 on one File is still one Credit. The first 5 Files are free after email verification.

Is there a subscription, a minimum or an expiry date?

No. Credit packs are one-time purchases: no monthly fee, no annual licence, no minimum number of jobs. Credits stay in the Workspace wallet until you use them, and packs stack, so buying another pack never resets or shortens anything.

Do I need a card to start?

No. Installing, creating a Workspace, scanning Files, and using the free Credits need no card. Card checkout only opens when the Workspace Owner buys a pack — via Stripe in your browser.

What happens if a Solution Job fails?

You are not charged. A Credit is captured only when the job completes and the result File is ready. If processing fails, the reserved Credit returns to the wallet automatically.

Can I get a refund on a pack?

Pack purchases are non-refundable once the Credits are in the wallet, except where mandatory law requires otherwise. That is why scan is free and a failed job returns its Credit: you never pay for a File you did not receive.

Is VAT included in the prices?

Prices are shown in EUR before tax. Depending on your country, tax may be added at checkout; Stripe shows the final amount before you confirm the payment.

Can several technicians use the same Credits?

Credits belong to the Workspace wallet, not to a PC or a person, so every job created in that Workspace draws from the same balance. The free signup grant itself is given once per PC.
