What changes in your day

Without a file service, an ECU job means either a map editor on the desk and a technician who knows how to use it, or an email to a supplier, a wait, a bank transfer and a File that may or may not match the car. With FILHEX the File step sits on the same Windows PC as your read/write tool: read the ECU, open New Solution Job, upload the original, scan, select Solutions, process, download, write. The car does not leave the ramp while you wait for someone to come online, and the job is priced before you start.

Nothing else about your workshop changes. You still diagnose the car, still do the pipe, valve or sensor work the job needs, still road-test and read codes afterwards, and still own the customer relationship. Emissions and aftertreatment — DPF Removal, EGR Removal, AdBlue / SCR Removal, GPF / OPF, O2 sensor and catalyst work. Pair the File with the mechanical work and check your country's rules: these are not road-legal in most of Europe.
Drivability — swirl flaps, throttle valve, MAF, Hot Start Fix, Start & Stop Disable, readiness and oil-pressure calibrations, torque monitoring.

What a job costs you

Packs are €5 for 1 Credit, €40 for 10 Credits, €150 for 50 Credits, €200 for 100 Credits, so a File costs between €2 and €5 depending on the pack, and the customer price of the job is yours to set. There is no minimum or renewal. Full breakdown on pricing.

Checks you can do before the write

Two things make a File safer to put on a customer's car. First, scan: it reads the actual binary, so a File from a previously tuned car or a partial read shows up as fewer Solutions before you spend anything. Second, the Hex Editor in the app: open the original and the result side by side, step through every difference, and confirm the job touched what it should have and nothing else. Neither spends a Credit.

Your Workspace, your Files

A Workspace is your workshop's account: one Credit wallet, one job history, one place every original and result File lives. Files are stored privately, used only to run your Solution Job, and never published or sold; Files of discarded jobs are deleted from storage after 30 days. Support is in English by email and WhatsApp, and the app is published on Microsoft Store by Filenk Tech with automatic updates.

FAQ

Do I need a map editor or tuning training to use FILHEX?

No. You need to read the ECU correctly, upload the original File, select the Solutions the job needs, and write the result back with your own tool. Map editing is not part of the workflow.

Can I check whether a customer's ECU is covered before I quote?

Yes, twice. The catalog on this site shows published Brand, ECU and Solution coverage. Then upload the actual File in the app and scan it free: scan confirms the Solutions for that exact software version before you spend a Credit.

Can several technicians work in one Workspace?

Credits and jobs belong to the Workspace, not to one PC, so every job created in it draws from the same wallet and appears in the same history. The free signup grant is given once per PC.

What if the result File does not work on the car?

A Credit is only captured when the job completes and a result File is delivered; a failed job returns its Credit automatically. If a code remains because of hardware that is no longer fitted, DTC clear on that result File is free up to 3 times. Mechanical state, diagnostics and the write remain workshop work.

Are DPF, EGR and AdBlue Solutions legal?

Not for road use in most European countries. FILHEX delivers the File; checking the rules in your country and documenting the customer's instruction is the workshop's responsibility.

Do I have to buy a subscription or a minimum number of Credits?

No. Packs are one-time purchases that never expire. Start with the free Credits, buy a pack when paying jobs arrive, and buy larger packs only when your volume justifies the lower price per File.
