About FILHEX

Why FILHEX exists

Most workshops that do ECU work do not write maps. They read a control unit, send the File somewhere, wait, pay, and write back whatever comes back — through portals with separate logins, prepaid balances that expire, prices that only appear after the upload, and nobody to ask when a code stays on. FILHEX was built to make that File step as plain as the rest of the job: one Windows app on the bench PC, a scan that says what applies to the File before any money changes hands, one price per File, and the original and result kept together on every job.

Every Solution in the FILHEX catalog is prepared and maintained by our engineering team; your Solution Job runs automatically in the app, with live status, and the Hex Editor lets you compare the original and the result byte by byte before the File goes on a car. What FILHEX is not

• Not a map editor or a seat licence. There is nothing to renew. You buy processed Files, not software time.
• Not a flash tool. Reading and writing the ECU stays with your own hardware and your own judgement.
• Not a workshop management system. No customer database, no job board, no invoicing — just Files, Solutions and Credits.
• Not a consumer product. FILHEX is built for professional tuners and workshops who know what a File does to a car.

How we work

A few rules shape every page of this site and every screen of the app:

• Check before you pay. Scan is free, so you always know what applies to your File before a Credit is involved.
• Pay only for a result. A Credit is captured when a Solution Job completes; a failed job returns its Credit by itself.
• Say only what the product does. No turnaround promises we cannot keep, no "thousands of workshops" we cannot prove, no road-legal claims. Emissions rules differ by country and the workshop stays responsible for how a File is used.
• Your Files stay yours. Original and result Files are stored privately in your Workspace, used only to run your job, and never published, shared or sold. Files of discarded jobs are deleted from storage after 30 days.
• One app, in English. Everything — Workspace, Catalog, jobs, Credits, support — lives in the Windows app and this site. Support answers in English, by email the same day, and on WhatsApp.
