About Stage 2

Stage 2 is a performance Solution that, in industry usage, expects supporting hardware: a freer intake, a downpipe or exhaust, often an intercooler, and clutch or TCU work on high-torque cars. It is not "Stage 1 with bigger numbers" on a stock car — the calibration assumes more airflow and more heat rejection than the factory parts provide, and on a stock car that mismatch shows up as high intake temperatures, knock control pulling timing, and a turbo working outside its map.

Before you select it

Scan tells you whether the software supports Stage 2; only the workshop can confirm the hardware does. Check that the supporting parts are fitted and sound, that the clutch or gearbox can carry the torque, and that the customer understands the car will be run harder. A Stage 2 File on a stock car is one of the most common mismatches a file service sees.

In FILHEX
