You know you completed the job. You remember the customer. You even remember the vehicle.

Finding the file is another story.

You search your desktop.

Then your network drive.

Then an external SSD.

Then an old laptop.

Finally someone remembers that the original binary might still be inside a WhatsApp conversation with the file supplier.

What should have taken thirty seconds suddenly becomes twenty minutes.

Keep Technical Information Together

An ECU file alone rarely tells the full story.

Every tuning project also includes valuable technical information that should remain attached to the same record.

  • Hardware number
  • Software number
  • Read method (OBD, Bench or Boot)
  • Tool used
  • Checksum status
  • Virtual Read or Physical Read
